Is Blogging Profitable?

Guest post by Tyler Stefonski

With today's economy we all can use some extra money whether it is just a few hundred dollars a month or a few thousand. The internet is most likely the biggest root of business opportunities.

For anyone eager to make some extra money, the Internet is most likely the leading source of business seeking opportunities. Blogging is a good way to make an income with little costs and a small amount of work. How can that be? In the beginning blogging started as the trend of the online diary, but it has changed towards new ways that presently provide both personal emotions and money making advantages. Let's take a look at 2 different ways to make a blog into a home-business. The beginning point for any online business is the making up of of a super unique web page.

Anyone running some form of business that could benefit from online advertising will select blogging as a good way of advertising. A blog targets a special audience segment: those people interested in the products and services you offer. A blogger should therefore make a super particular web page with unique content that is the same for his or her blog. There may be references to the promotional products, or just links to them. Most business entrepreneurs who take advantage of the profit blogging brings, choose to include various options on the pages.

First of all, you have to make web search possible directly from your blog; therefore, you'll need to take advantage of one of the Google programs that enables such facilities. Then, any blog reader should have access once he or she has accessed your site, meaning that they should be allowed to execute actions: download pictures, documents and files, post comments or merely subscribe for regular blog posts. In order to make blogging profitable, try to track the visitors the blog receives, and constantly keep track of how well it ranks in the search engines.

Least of all, blogging is also profitable for those who don't have a business to promote: you may genuinely make an extra income by having ads and banners related to your domain appear on the web site. By the intermediary of the Google promotional programs,Adwords or Adsense, you will be paid for each click a reader makes on a particular advertisement, or every time the visitor performs a certain activeness on the blog. Make sure to read and follow the Google Adwords or Adsense instructions and apply them to the blog pages; the best way to get profits under such circumstances is to make sure your blog appears on the first result page of the search engines by gaining links and seo web optimization.

The next article we will be going over gaining links and the best seo web optimization to get higher ranks in the search engines.

Affiliate Marketing-The Basics

Affiliate marketing basically means that you will be promoting someone else products. If a sale is made, you make a percentage of the sale. If you don't sell, you don't earn anything.A lot of website owners are using this to generate an income online.

The key benefit of affiliate marketing is that you can be successful in the market even if you don't have a website. All you got to do, is to start driving traffic to the website or products that you affiliated with. All it takes is a hundred visitors or so, and you have all the data you need to make an assessment for the offer you are promoting.

This is ideal for market research. You don't need to spend thousands of dollars developing a product, only to find that the market is not receptive to what you have to offer. Once you find a strong offer, make plans to penetrate the market.

To make money online you must make a sell or it depends on the product that you want to promote.Others just give you commissions on a cost per click basis but most website owners prefers the cost per action formula because it's most profitable for them and for the affiliates.

If you want to promote a product or a service, first you must check it's sales page and act like you are a paying customer.Ask yourself:If I am the visitor will I buy this product? Is it worth my money? If the answer is no then you will not make sells on that product.A lot of affiliates failed to make money online because they promoting products which they don't know or tried before. They simply think that by promoting more products or services they will earn money. It's quantity not quality for them which is wrong.I would rather promote one product which I know about and tested to be most effective to the paying costumer.

By promoting others products or services, you must drive traffic to the sites your promoting. No traffic means no sales, more traffic means more sales. As much as possible you must have a website or a blog to promote your affiliate products. There's a lot of free websites or blogs out there that you can use but I prefer getting your own hosting account so that you have complete control on your websites or blog. You can put banners or text links about your products your promoting and wait for the sales to come.

To make more money, affiliate marketers must repeat the sales process. A sale is made, and a little bit of money is earned, but the customer has been neglected. Try to serve just one customer over and over again. It's much easier to sell to an existing customer than to sell to a completely new customer.
